About This Church and Ministry Position:

This is a student ministry role. This candidate will aspire to work in conjunction with current student ministry staff, as a full partner in ministry. Depending on your own talents and skills and aptitude, this person could work with Middle School students, High School students, and/or both when students are combined. (To be clear, this ministry position will be under the direct supervision of the Lead Minister, and will not be under the direction of any other ministers on staff.)

Jefferson Christian Church is a Non-Denominational Church associated with the Restoration Movement of Churches. Rural Hall, NC could be described as Rural/Suburban, but just a few minutes from the city of Winston-Salem, NC. We currently have 6 full-time ministers on our staff, as well as three part-time positions. This new Student Ministry position will be in addition to the current full-time slate of staff members.

While our Church is 143 years old, we are anything but an old, traditional church. Our worship is modern. Our Leadership is forward-thinking. We have vibrant kids and student ministries. We average just over 400 in Sunday attendance and provide Life Group opportunities on Sunday mornings, as well as throughout the week. There are also opportunities for community outreach.

Jefferson Church has a passion for planting churches. In 2006, when we were nearing the 500 mark in weekly attendance, in three morning worship services; our leadership decided that the best way for us to grow the kingdom would be to plant new churches. We have started two new churches in the Winston-Salem area by sending out our own people to launch those churches. We have also been critical partners in new North Carolina church plants in Winston-Salem (3), Chapel Hill, Wilmington, Hickory, Knightdale, Jacksonville, Goldsboro, and Kinston, as well as Nashville, TN.
